Her heart was aching badly that morning. it was exactly 3 days and 5 hours since she had broken up with Ken. That son of a bitch…! She wished he could go to hell. She read the three times on a row. All the while, her mind was trying to figure out who the anonymous sender was. She clicked on the profile picture icon. He was a cutie! His profile name was saved as @roughrider.

“Who the hell is @roughrider?” She wondered aloud.

Usually, she would ignore such messages from strange guys. But this one had caught her curiosity. How had he known it was her birthday? How had he known of her fetish for the legend of the phoenix? How did he get her number. His face was strangely cute. And his profile name…she thought of a rough ride, and her brain started releasing oxytocin. She smiled.

She texted back immediately.

“Thanks!☺️”

He replied almost immediately.

"Most welcome baby 💞"

She put her phone away. She bowed her head and recited the “Grace of Our Lord.” Just when she was done. Her phone vibrated. She thought of ignoring it at first. But something in her mind told her that roughrider had texted again.

From Janie: “bitch, it’s your birthday. Happy birthday🥂. Get ready for a cold birth. You gotta get wet you know ⛲💧.”

Janie was her best friend. She was disappointed for a moment.

"Thank you bitch😡. Still in pain, don't think I can get out of bed today. Should I sleep through my birthday? In pain 😭😰😨." 

Janie texted back telling her she needed to cheer up. She asked her; “say, do you know this dude?” She attached a screenshot shot of his profile picture to her message. Janie replied almost instantly, “No bitch, 😡. New catch, damn you move on fast girl.”

She cursed herself for replying so fast.
